Is the living expenses in Phillipines not very high? How much does it cost for a normal meal?

a regular meal only cost 35 pesos, $1 is equevalent to 50pesos, living expenses here is high because the basic monthly pay for a regular gov't employee is only 10000pesos, that would be like $200. too bad.

I believe why not. In my country average earnings is about $600 and this isn't for decent living. It's about double lower than it's needed for decent living.
