i hail from the land which has given the theory of karma to this world - none other than the glorious hindustan. However, i don't beleive in that theory at all. Our fates are not pre-decided, and it is our own actions and thoughts that make up what we are, not something that we had done in our so-called "previous births".. the now and here is more important for me than worrying about something we are not even sure of in the past. At least, worrying about the future might be a little more helpful than worrying about the past.

Karma for Buddhists is part of the Dharma ....
mentioned in Dharmanussati
Sandittiko akaliko ehipassiko
opanayiko paccatam veditabbo vinnuhiti
that is
are very close, not weathered by time, invited to be proven .. leads into the interior, can be delved into by the wise in their respective inner
based ehipassiko (invited to be proven) is ... which states that no doctrine or dogma that says "karma" that "to believe" ...
but for those of you who know / never learn .. invitees would have to prove yourself masing2 ...
must have been a lot of people who prove it ..
easier to see ... for example you're just planting a tree ... if you plant a mango tree then you can possible outcomes are mangos ..
if the banana tree is most likely that you can is a banana ..
but sorry not necessarily banana / mango is good or could not produce at all ... depends also how you care for her.
