Have you lost weight? If so, how many pounds and how did you do it?

I've lost 50 lbs. I lost 45 then got sick and lost a few more because I had no appetite. Now I watch what I eat. Whole wheat bread,no sugar, lots of veggies and water.

I want to shed about 30-35 pounds over time. I have been walking more and eating different things. I haven't cut back on the amount of food. Instead of eating 3 major meals, I now eat 5 or so smaller meals. The key to weight loss is metabolic rate. If you can increase your amount of exercise, you can increase your rate. You can still eat lots of foods, but change from junk foods to healthier foods. With some simple changes, I have ben losing 1-2 pounds a month without really trying. That is fine for me. If you want to lose more weight, increase your exercise. Diets or starvation will not work in the long run. You have to change your lifestyle to get permanent results. You also have to get it straight in your mind. The object is not to lose weight, it is to become healthier. You don't want to give up weight, you want to gain health. How you think about your goals and the perfect body you desire, can make all the difference.

I've lost 19.8lbs and gone from 173.8lbs to 154lbs. Ive done so through eating a balanced, calorie controlled diet, excercising at the gym 4 times a week and staying active even in my everyday life. I'm very proud of myself, however I'm aiming to lose another 20lbs or so before I get to my goal weight.
