How do I get strangers to stop touching my belly?!!

HaHa! I have that same problem. Random people will come up to me and touch my stomach. I was grocery shopping a couple weeks ago and this older lady came up and put her hands on my belly and started blessing my baby. I mean it was nice of her and all but shouldnt you of asked first? lol. People just need to think about things first I think.

I haven't been pregnant but my sister was and this was her pet peeve. She hated how people would do that to her. She'd go out to bingo and people who won would come over and rub her belly with the money for luck. She'd get so irritated by that. She always wanted to know there the unwritten law was that stated when a woman became pregnant her stomach became public property. I could never do that to someone myself but I guess some people don't think. Personally I think I'd get a shirt that says "You touch you are drawing back a bloody stump." Maybe that would send the message.

lol lol!! aww i remember that like it was yesterday...when i was pregnant i never wanted to be touched..i just felt like smacking there heads in..lol..but one day i just snapped a bit//and when a lady came up and said awwwww..and rubbed me..and said how long? I snapped out and said..do you always go around touching other women with out consent?? that was rude..and get away from me..!!!ok yes I was a bitc wicthy that day..but i was soo sick of everyone touching me!!!!so i agree witht her shirt deal..get one that says DONT TOUCH ME..

What about painting your belly with a dont touch sign? I agree with you that it's really annoying to receive such comments from strangers. Maybe they want to be nice but instead it has the reverse effect on you. Wish you luck for a safe delivery.

All you have to do is rub there stomach right back and see how they like it... :) That has been the one that has worked for me. People get embarassed and leave you the hell alone!! Good luck.

this happened to me once, it is so weird i mean its ok for friends/family but strangers...that is so weird, i mean really who does that! ugh!!!! I just had to start saying DO NOT TOUCH ME! I dont know you thats just rude!

I had the same problem, and ugh, I guess people are always just amazed when a new baby is coming. Buy a few (or more!) maternity shirts that say " DONT TOUCH" on the front :-). Maybe that will give them the hint.

If you have a nice sexy belly, you have to cover it most of the time, especially if you have a nice cute belly ring.

well, i can imagine that this can b really awkward. one should not touch a pregnant lady's stomach without askin even if u ask, only a doctor should be allowed to do so

Smack them!! than or rub their forhead. I have no idea the good it will do but it will probibalyu make them feel the same fustration you feel. LOL

You know when I was showing with my daughter everyone wanted to see my belly or touch and I just felt so weird. I wanted to smack people. I would just say please don't touch my belly because its making me uncomfortable.
