When you post a new discussion do you...

Read it, correct the spelling, grammar and most of all see if it makes sense before you post it? I do but the reason for this topic is I have just recently looked a discussion which was a question which to me made no sense. All it read was "Are you a student's?" That was it and there were responses which also made no sense or else the responders were mind readers.

It's amazing what will generate a response some times. I try to proofread my posts, but often miss mistakes. I spend less time checking the more I write, though. I guess it should be the other way around, but I get bored reading what I just wrote. I think most of my posts are ok, so I'm not concerned about it at the moment.

This is actually 2 years old, and at that time there were a large number of people who put in stupid questions, to get stupid answers just to try and make money. Quite often they would only have one or two words in the reply. Thankfully most of them have gone now. I do try and proof read everything I write here, but the occasional mistake does creep through - probably because I've just washed my paws and can't do a thing with them.

Yeah I give them the once over, but sometimes there are still parts that didn't make sense... I guess I shouldn't get mad when someone doesn't answer the question righ then lol! I see lots of discussions that make no sense, you just have to use your citizens arrest button (!)....

I always proof them but stuff get through wrong anyway and it makes me batty...A lot of the grammar and spelling errors that I see are just someone ESL errors. I completely overlook them because the very fact that they can communicate at all in a second language puts them one up on me. Also, I think young people have a short kind of computer lingo that is acceptable. Sort of like street English. It doesn't mean they can't write things correctly. It's just an acceptable way for them to write on line.

I should be more careful because if I dont have my glasses on , I typo and if My lil dog is on the keyboard then I typo. It would be better for everyone to take time to check.
