Do you trust your neighbors? Or do you really "know" them?

I grew up out of town in a small town area, so basically everyone knew eachother. Our closest neighbor was a football feild length away and my parents were always really friendly with them for many years. Now that I live in a bigger city and the closest house is a few arms lengths away, makes me a little more nervous about who is really living around me. I wouldnt say that I trust anyone around me now, vs. when I was younger at my parents house we didnt have to lock our doors at night.

Well, that's just it. When we're in a neighborhood where we are new, and we don't know the people that we call neighbors, we tend to ask those questions - can we tust them, do we really know them? It takes time, and some degree of effort to really get to know people.
