Rice paper desoupage is fantastic, I did a couple of concrete rabbits for a Nursing Home a couple of years ago, you can get lovely rice paper these days or you can use ordinary tissue paper, brighten up anything with this craft... http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=1232

I actually haven't tried rice paper decoupage. I have done decoupage with pictures on boxes I made for Christmas gifts a few years ago.

I liked working with tissue paper more than normal pics myself...and you can get nice patterns on tissue paper these days...
