Do you save money?

I save money and I have it put up in a cabinet. And I've got it in a can. My hubby came in with a bonus today so he gave me some of the money. I told him to put it up in my can. He told me I was going to be like these old people that hide money everywhere. I said well I just keep it in the can and put it up in the cabinet and nobody knows what is in there except me. So do you save money (not in a savings account)? And if so where do you "hide" it.

I used to save money. I worked for tips and I'd either not pick them up from work or just leave them in my tip bag when I got home. I didn't know how much was in there so I was never tempted to spend it.

when we were a young couple I would come home each night and empty my change into a savings jar and then at the end of the pay period when we were near broke this change would save us. I still save my change and it comes to a tidy amount for fun use now.

Yes I save some money but I try to get it to the bank as fast as I can because of if your home burned then the money would burn also or if someone broke in then they could steal it, Or if a tornado came and messed your home up then you would lose it.. Just a sugestion I would put it in the bank or safty dep. box.

I had one of those (the big blue ones) sitting in the corner of our bedroom that I used to put the money in. I was scared someone would see it though and take it so I moved it to the can and put it in the cabinet. Cause I save dollars and change in it. If it was just change that I saved then I would have left it there.

Yes I save change and bonus money all over my house. I save pennies in piggy banks, silver coins in another bank, bills in a lock box. The bills are for a BIG trip to Germany to see my son. The silver is for a vacation in Florida Disney world. The pennies are just here because I have always saved pennies. When I spend all this money I will begin to save all over for something else I am sure.

i have never been able to save money I try and try and try but to no avail can i save more than 10 and then its gone..

When I come home at the end of the day, I empty my pockets of all change and place it in a piggy bank. And do not touch it for one year.
Close to the year ending I will decide what I want to spend it on. Be it new clothes or a weekend mini vacation.
