Why do we fear from upcoming life?

i always fear , what is coming next .. like i never wanted to go to college after school ..never wanted leave studies after college and never wanted to get married after job ... I always felt that my current life is best and i dont want to be old. does this happen with you too?

I have learned just to fear the unexpected and not the things that are known to be coming. I fear feeling good because it always ends with me getting kicked in the butt and upending my life.
