Who do you think is the playmaker in chelsea?

Essien .... no doubt. unfortunetly morinho put him in center back, not good at all

I think it's clear that Lampard is the real playemaker of the Blues and when he's in top shape the team rarely happens to lose. I can't see why some people are mentioning Essien, he's always been and will be considered a more defensive midfielder than anything else by me. I also agree with Robben as being a close second, but he's more of a winger. Unfortunetly, Ballack should be fighting with Lampard for this position, but he's not well this season...

ballack and lampard can be playmaker, but now a day lampard do the job better, so lampard is the playmaker for the blues

The playmaker of the team is Shevchenko whenever he plays, Robben comes in second whenever he plays... then it's Lampard if he has a good day.

play maker essien is more better than lampard and ballack creates the space for lampard to operate and create some damage but unfortunately yes lampard is the playmaker for chelsea and my bet , thats y they arent performin well :P

i think the most suitable for this position is Frank lampard. he's very active and hardworker. surely can manage the balance between backline and front line. the 2nd player who capable for this i think joe cole. Ballack i think more of defender kind of midfielder. maybe he will became the next lampard if he finally find his touch at chelsea.
