I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here. With that having been said, depending on what the blinds were and how much you had left behind after "you raise 1200 chips", a fold might of been the best play here. The only hands that go all-in here are the hands that beat you, especially since you've already raised in the pot.

thanks for your comments spoonitnow. i know what you are saying but it is very hard to lay down 3 kings. he may have had an ace but thought i was representing the king but didnt really have it. he could have had another king (split pot) but that is poker. not everyone that goes all in has a hand to beat you. there are alot of bluffers out there!

The point is that even if he has the king, the absolute best you can play for here is a split pot, and the odds dictate that folding is better than calling off the rest of your stack for a split.

I played cashgame 5/10$. I picked up KK on BB. Everybody folds til SB who raise it up to 40$. I suspect it's a postionraise so I just call, because if it is a postionsraise he will not call if I re-raise. The flop comes: K35. He bets 120$ I raise it up to 420$. He went all in for 1480$, and I call quickly cause I got the big nuts. He shows up: QQ. And I feel great. He need to catch runner runner queens. The turn comes: Q The river: Q.. THAT MADE ME SO SICK. Couldnät really belive it. :P

Hehe. Well, it took me a few days to get over it. I will not count the odds for this to happend:P it's sick. I play like 7 hours every day. So, things like this actually happends on internet, cause on internet you play much more hands than in livepoker. Please rate+ :) Have a good day.

I have had many such experiences and each time I couldn't believe my eyes. How about having 2 hearts king high, the flop showed three hearts with a queen so I went all in and lost to a heart flush Ace high. I could have cried.

Ouch! Those are the stories that I dread hearing. We play poker every couple of weeks but it isn't for huge stakes. Ironically enough, someone came up with the idea of a "Huge Steaks" game; very strange though. The winner (most chips) had to treat the biggest loser to a steak dinner. I swear, some of them were throwing the game just to get a free meal LOL.

I was playing a $33 multi-table tournament on PokerStars about a year and a half ago, and we were down to two tables in a field of about 600 starting players. On a flop of K4x I got all in with KK vs JJ, and the turn was a J and the river was a J. That's a 1 in 990 shot.

played the other night and on this certain game, had A,A and flop was 3,A,J. and i checked. then came 8 in turn and someone bets and i raised all in and he called. river was J so I thought Full house A's highest but his card was J,J.

thanks eolivan. that sounds bad! you never think you are going to be beat when you get that third ace do you!

I did the same sort of thing on a blackjack game. Maybe it was because I was excited and I had only played the game a few times. Needles sto say I lost everything. Since then I know better.lol.

thanks tendaheart. nice to know someone else understands. you do get carried away and think you can become very rich overnight when it comes to gambling sometimes. sorry to hear you lost all your cash! i think everyone learns as they go along. it is exciting though lol!

Wow that sucks. I've had a few really bad beats.I have had a hand so similar to this where I had trip kings and an A came on the board and the guy had a pair of A's and beat me. It sucks but it builds character and experience. Good luck with your future games!!

Called a bluffer who had K3 offsuit and went all-in pre-flop. I called with KK. Then, went 4 colors of HIS king on the table and he flushed me out of the hand.

I can tell you a bad beat that i made someone else endure. I was looking fairly shortstacked in a multi table tournament final table and was looking to make a move and i hit QJ. A nice hand until someone with a fair amount of chips and who had me only just covered went all in suggesting a strong hand. I decided that it was the right time to call especially as i was Big Blind next. He turned over pocket 8's. Could have been worse i suggest. And it was made worse when he hit a set on the flop. I also hit a Jack but i was in a bad bad way. I then hit a Queen on the turn which gave me a few more outs. Any jack or Queen would give me the full house and therefore the pot. So i went right ahead and hit a Jack on the River. I felt desperately sorry for the guy but i did go ahead and win the tournament so i wasnt complaining!!!

how did you have five kings? And I thought a bad beat is when someone stays in with little or nothing and then catches it on the river. If they have Aces and Kings they should be all in.
