Not just the cost involved, but also the risk of getting staff infections or other viruses while you are there?

But that's what I mean, the odor of sickness must carry germs.

Yes I am, but not so much because of the germs and viruses, because I would think they keep the place clean and disinfected lol. But because no matter what the ailment is, the cure always seems to come in the form of a needle and the diagnostic process always seems to involve taking blood.

I rather have a shot with a rusty needle than spend one night in a hospital.

And then to re learn to walk again..and everything else by myself..but i also live in a small town..and they staff is very very cautious about being sterl..and such so its not that i really am afraid as more irritated and hate them lol..that was a long long haul in there.,.and i dont care to ever go back honestly lol..

Hospitals do make me a bit nervous because of being around people who have all sorts of illnesses, some of which are contagious. I also worry about whether the doctors and nurses really know what they are doing. I worry about being misdiagnosed and given the wrong treatments. Fortunately the only time I had to go to one was because I had a panic attack and they did a good job taking care of me.

Ohh yes Ally, I am so very much afraid of Hospitals. To be honest I don't want to go to doctor also, because I am afraid of any medical related thing, even the needle. Also there are chances of big amount bill and chances of getting wrong treatment(as we can hear lots of story like that), those are another reasons fo getting scared.

Yes I am, but it is not only the fact that you can get even more sick while you are there it is also the fact that I find when a doctor is looking you over and telling you what he thinks is wrong with you, I don't feel that he is talking to you. He should be trying to reasure you that you will be okay. This they are not very good at.

Fear isn't the word that I would use to describe how I feel about hospitals, but I am a very germ conscious person and whether it is a visit to the hospital or to the doctor's office, I am well aware that the reason people go there is because they are sick. Often, they are sick with very contagious conditions, and with all the press about superbugs, I don't think you can be too careful. I use the disinfectant gel both entering and leaving. My awareness of germs extends to anything I do outside my own home. The first thing I do upon returning regardless of where I have been is wash my hands. I am always amazed at the number of people I see using the toilet facilities without making a stop at the sink before leaving. I don't understand why people don't realize that not washing your hands can actually be fatal.

I am not afriad of hospitals, but I just don't like them. I also don't like the cost of hospitals. Even with insurance these days hospital costs are so high. I try to stay away from hospitals.

I'm not afriad of hospitals, but I do not enjoy going to them. I am very coscious of the germ factor and make sure to scrub my hands and use antibacterial gel after I visit one. I do worry about staff infections when a loved one goes in for a surgery, etc.

Im terrified of hospitals. Whenever I have to go visit someone at the hospital Im always worried Ill catch something while Im there. After all people go there for a large variety of illnesses and Im sure there are germs all over the place. I dont even think about going to the toilet while Im there. I dont know what Ill do if I ever get admitted for something.

Fortunately, in most of Canada, Health care is a top priority for most. So our Health Care is at least decent, I'm most scared of being stuck in the waiting room for 9 hours again. I have never had to go myself, but the last 5 times I have gone for somebody else, I have had to wait more than 8 hours 4 times.

I have no big concern for hospitals! In fact, I wanna be a doctor and work in a hospital. But my kids are so afraid of entering a hospital, much more seeing the needles!
