That is very normal as it is not with everyone we can be comfortable,You are lucky as you have at least some compatible co worker. This lady if old must be having more experience so if instead of considering her co worker you give respect as someone older of your family then she might listen to you.

i don't think so. sometimes i try to make a good relationship with her but she doesn't care. Also, when she asks me for help, she thinks i have to help her.

I have many friends at my place of work but sometimes it's hard to be friends exspecially if you are an authority figure. It's impossible to get along with everyone but if she gives you to much trouble maybe you should go to you boss

I always thought that one of my co-workers and I are friends. Only to find out recently that he had done something that implicates me and our other co-workers because of his wrongdoing. You can never really tell who will do such bad things. We can only pray that all things will end well.

I did have the same experience three times...from my present job and yore. Most senior employees, especially those who were not given promotions for a while tend to look at newcomers as rivals. Especially when you are young, good-looking, and possesses an aura of professionalism. To avoid trouble, and for you to not shed tears of frustration, what I can suggest is for you to learn to do it your way, with the help of your other co-workers who are more approachable. Talk to your friends, and if financially capable, get an additional educational degree. However, be humble at all times. Employees who appear to be strict and all knowing have no future in the company where they work for. Leave them as is. Never follow their footsteps. With hard work and positive attitude, you will surely rise up from the ranks in no time. Good luck.

That happens a lot in the work field. And mainly the old ones are the ones who causes problems, since they see their sits threatened by the new ones, especially if they are good at their work. So, whenever you have questions, ask the ones that you are having a good relationship with, and if they don't know the answers, ask them to ask the old lady for them since you are having problem communicating with her.
