My husband and I have been talking about adopting a sibling group and/or special need children in several years. We are planning on moving out into the country and having more room, and will have the finances. For anybody who has adopted, did you go through the state or a private agency? Did you have biological children as well? We have 3 bio children right now, ages 7,3,and almost 2. I personally do not want to adopt children too much older than our own mostly due to the fact that we started our family very young. Any general thoughts on this would be welcome as well!

i have never adopted my self but i would go with either one the more options you use the better chance you got in finding the match for you. jsut don't fill out any overseas adoption forms online some countries still steal babies and try to adopt them out. i used to volunteer for an organization called foster families and everyone i know that has adopted has been very happy with their choices getting a child that is young tho does help as it is easier for them to adapt to the new enviroment after awhile if you go thru an agency and you want to adopt siblings make sure you tell them that and tell them the age group that your looking for agencies will do the work for you.
