When out in public places do you let your children visit the toilet alone?

It has been reported today that a 5 year old boy was sexually assaulted in a toilet cubicle at the Australian Open. Would you let your child visit a child without adult supervision in a public place?

I would never let a 5 year old go to the toilet alone. I am a sole parent and I took my son to the ladies toilet with me until he was about 8, it was then that he refused to go to the ladies so I had no choice.

Never! My children never went alone. Either my husband went with the boys or their older brother and I went with our daughter. In this day and age you can never be TOO careful where our children are concerned. Don't ever let your guard down. Even the safest of places can be targets.

that is scary, and I know that is a risk in public places, but my son is about to be 5 so that really scares me, however I never let him go into a public restroom alone, he hates going into the womens but if my husband is not with us then he has no choice and I remind him that there are strangers that may hurt him if he were to go into the mens restroom alone. So he alays reluctantly agrees to go to the womens so I can go with him
