Who thinks Bush will announce an invasion of Iran soon?

Do you know who this is? - Well, it may be a bit exaggerated but
the likeness sure seems appropriate.

He's grasping at straws for any excuse to invade Iran. He's finding reasons whether they exist or not. Sound familiar?

No, I don;t think he will. I think that would be foolish right now. That doesn't mean that Iran isn't provoking the international community towards action though. Obviously Iran is trying to start beef with a lot of countries. If they dont stop their pursuit of nuclear weapons, the entire world will have to take action (at least major powers).

I absolutely agree it would be ludicrous to invade Iran. Yes Iran is provoking the international community. So too is North Korea. The difference between the two is that Iran has no powerful allies, while North Korea has at least one. Venture to take a guess as to who it is. That's why Iran is in the Bush administration's cross hairs while North Korea is being handled with care. Our president hasn't made the wisest decisions in the past as it pertains to waiting for the U.N. and other international support before jumping in head first. You see where that's gotten us. I only hope calmer heads prevail this time round.

There's been a lot changes recently. Bush is becoming very impatient with the way things aren't progressing in Iraq or Iran. On top of that he's in a battle with the changing of the guard in Washington. As a man, like most us men, he has his pride and ego to protect. He's not going down without a fight. ‹(°¿°)›

Ok, well that is your opinion, until something actually happens, this is all just hypothetical. And I disagree with your prediction. Who wouldn't be impatient with Iran? They are using the same stall tactics the North Koreans used when they developed their programs. THe whole world condemns this, but the UN and every other big country don't have the balls to do anything.

of course he will...it's the same situation as Iraq...originally, we went into Afghanistan due to 9/11...do you ever hear about that anymore? no, because he set his sights on Hussein and Iraq...because of the so-called threats..now he sees Iran as a threat...it's just a matter of time, and i'm sure that before he leaves office our men and women will be deployed to Iran...

Except all the other nations are trying to decide what action to take on Iran as well....

Sorry but the other nations will have nothing to do with Iran. One reason, Russia is an ally and is currently selling them arms. ‹(°¿°)›

I believe you're absolutely right. It is just a matter of time before he gives the order. That is unless we keep him in check here at home or worse, some other nations decide to take action against us. I don't mean military, there's many other ways to cripple us. ‹(°¿°)›

He no longer has the confidence of the American people to launch another invasion. He doesn't have the backing in congress and this country doesn't have the soldiers left tosacrifice in another war. Should the UN or someone else invade, I am sure we will support them. But nothing more than that. Bush is a true lame duck president and he is too busy trying to prove Iraq was not a mistake that he will have little time or gumption for anything else.

Absolutely, he's a lame duck when it comes to decisions the congress can make. Remember though, he still has Executive power in war time. That's what bothers me. Also, I'm afraid of what could happen if he uses the power. There already is a consortium of nations who are ready to step in and put a halt to what's going on already in Iraq. They may decide to take actions (not military, not yet) against us. It really doesn't look good right now. Bush is more dangerous than ever right now. He knows he's a lame duck president and he wants to prove otherwise at any cost.
