In San Diego they found some homeless people sleeping inside of a bridge in Balboa Park. They homeless people had been trying to battle the low tempatures which have been getting into the low 20's lately. How do you think the city should handle things like this? Was this a good idea of the homeless people to do that? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Yes I know I seen it on the news yesterday morning. I live in San Diego, California. Here is the bottom line to this. Their is a lot of wealthy people in this town, who are always telling the city politician's that they don't want homeless people in their neighborhoods. The police has got into the habit of running off the homeless wherever they find them. The homeless shelters have long waiting list. There are two of them. We have hundreds of homeless people in San Diego, due to the nice weather. However, we do not have a lot of nice people in this city.

Personally, I could never understand how people go homeless. With so many programs to help people in debt, there's always a way out. I've survived off minimum wage and I've lived off welfare. I was never in danger of going homeless. But regardless of why they become homeless, I do feel bad for them. Whatever it takes to get through another night. I agree, in the winter time especially, the city should be doing something to help. Homeless people tend to try to make it to warmer climates but they're getting beat up by a very odd winter this year.

Well, I'm sure there was some sort of shelter to take them to. At least there should have been. I cannot imagine being homeless, and what that might be like. I thank God I am not in that situation and hope I never have to know how it feels. I guess they should have gone to a shelter, but you never know if they could have made it there or not. Maybe it was too far away.
