feeding undersized toad

he is so scared of me that when i try to feed him i have to try to be unexistant, and he will only eat a few not enough to grow. he is still under the size of my thumb nail and i have had him for about 4 months i dont want to loose him from not eating enough can someone please help??? my e-mail is djscratch15@hotmail.com please no spam thanx. mark...
