Helicopter ride, anyone?

Have you ever had a helicopter ride? Did you like it?
I had my very first (and perhaps my last) helicopter ride in England last year. It was a gift given to my partner. Because I am quite afraid of heights, I had to gather enough courage before we decided to schedule our ride. It was nice to see London and the surrounding areas from above, but all the while I was scared stiff and clinging on to my partner's arm. The pilot saw me and jokingly said: Lady, if we crash, he will not be able to save you anyway! Everyone had a good laugh.

Only had that opertunity once in my life but will have it again I know so and this time it will be my helicopter.I had one at Mt. Rushmore where we got to see the faces from very close.

Hi. I haven't the chance to have a helicopter ride yet, but I once worked in an Aviation Company. I report directly to a retired Air Force Captain whose job was to ride the army helicopter. He told me his experience riding the helicopter. There were numerous times where he was almost attacked and to open fire towards the enemy. And he said that the scenery from a helicopter is very nice and you feel as if you are floating in the air.

Several years ago, while visiting Hawaii, I took a helicopter ride. They used to offer them as part of sight seeing. We flew out over the ocean a bit, over a couple of the other islands, and over a volcano. It was a lot of fun. I, too, am very afraid of heights, but for some reason, this didn't bother me. I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a bit like a carnival ride to me. LOL

Hey, I would'nt even think of getting into an helicopter. I used to go for rides on the giant wheels when young, but no more. Enough is enough.

ahahahha :D I am not scared about flying, I always flied on airplanes, never on an Helicopter. I was trying it when I was in USA in 1991...but then we missed that opportunity. I would try helicopter, because I love them! I even buied a little radio-controlled helicopter! It's so fun :D

Haha That's good a funny and wonderful experience you had. I envy you. I haven't been on a helicopter before. I wish I will someday. I am also afraid of height but I love to ride a helicopter. I think it will be a thrilling experience.

i too, am terrfied of heights, and was talked into taking a helicopter ride when i was about 19...never, ever, ever again! i was terrified, it was a copter with no doors...guess who got stuck beside that!....and the idiot pilot took off straight up and then dipped my side toward the ground to make a turn...i barely saw any of the ride, and when it was over the idiot who talked me into it got a slap on the arm!....lol

I never ride on helicopter but i wouldnt like to ride in one. From my point of view the helicopter are much more dangerous than a airplane or a simple car, have a nice day on mylot and happy earnings also.

I too am afraid of heights but have always wanted to try it. I do okay in planes for the most part so maybe someday I will get the chance.

I actually haven't but i want too for sure! When i was living in Cadotte we used to always go hit the baseball around while the guys were on stand by for fire fighting! They used to have choppers there and i always wondered how going for a ride in one would be!
