Best thing about Metallica is the fact they have such a talented vocalist as James Hetfield. I like Kirk Hammett solos as well but I think they are a tad too much overrated by metal fans in general, as I've heard tones of better solos coming out from other bands works.

the best thing i like is the vocals and the shredding of kirk hammet. at the end the thing i like is their first four albums.
