this is what i've learned from school. first, if you feel that your child is hot, you should verify if your child has a fever. try to use a thermometer. it your child do have a fever, try to perform a tepid sponge bath. you just need tap water and a towel. wet the towel with water and wipe the extremities of your child from the hands to the shoulders or feet to hips with long strokes. this will improve circulation. then after a while, check the temperature if it has lowered down. also try giving lots of liquid. soup may also help to make the immune system stronger. if your child still has fever after 3 days, bring him to a doctor.

Fevers are a common reaction to vaccinations, usually they last for less than 48 hours. If their temperature is extremely high it is best to notify your peditrician. It is also very important to make sure your children drink plenty of fluids. Fevers can cause dehydration. When my son had a really high fever when he was younger, they wrapped him in chilled towels. Some baby books reccommend a cool bath. (NOT COLD)

my pediatrition suggest giveing them a luke warm bath about body temp take a cup or wash rag and keep pouring over them dont forget the head plenty of cool drinks such as pediolite juice or gatorade watered down even popsycles are good, after bathing dress lightly t-shirt and diaper and cover lightly if they start to feel cold to the touch then add more covers this should work and they should sleep good through the night.Good Luck I do feel bad for them but this always worked for my 3 and now my grandkids.
