i dont know why shilpa shetty is tolerating the stuff on the show she can always walk off the show,i think all she wants is to eaarn sympathy and big bucks if they are racially abusing her even she should have the guts to give them the piece of her mind, rather than just crying like what in our desi version roopali did, the producers of big brother would be happy as this hue and outcry has brought them lot of audiences as for the idiots on the show all of them are either wannabes or people who lost out the show,in life and so everybody wants to earn name, shilpa needs to be more bold

You have a wise head and what you have said is so true. This show was loosing so many viewers until this incident happened. Now everyone is watching it, but unfortunately at the time when they already have pre-concieved ideas about what has gone on in the house. Shilpa has come into an environment that does not give her the respect she is used to in India and she has found the difference in class and attitude nothing to what she has ever experienced. She said that everyone stands up when she walks in a room. Well they will not do this in the house. She is not a weak woman and sometimes has fuelled situations that has made these women attack her. Which I am not condoning but it is a clash of class and personality that has caused all this and not a racist issue. All the celebs have gone in there with their big ego's and some are finding it more difficult to tolerate other people from a different class to them. This is on both sides. I am really sad that the race card has been shown over this stupidity and I hope it resolves itself. Jade or Shilpa will be leaving the house tonight and the public crowd has been banned from being there. Just think how many will now be tuning in. The BB team have made a fortune from all this and Shilpa and Jade will make even more money when they come out and sell their stories. I wish more people were concerned with the real racism that goes on in this world instead of taking an easy option and using a stupid reality show to express their views. When those two women leave they will go back to a rich life unlike the millions of people who are exploited because of their race. I like the comments you made. A rational debate over this rubbish for once, instead of the hate filled discussions that have been going on over this issue. Thanks + rating to you!!!!

this is real dude...and this is the matter of respect and dignity of our culture, how dare those bit**es behave in that way to shilpa.she is a girl and all alone over there.nothing to be bold.it feels terrible to know you are being neglected or tortured and you are all alone.such things should be stopped, otherwise these british @$$holes are going to get severe beatings in india.this is the right way to tackle such situation..i oppose racism and racism should be dealt with same medicine ie-being a racist yourself.thanks

I dont agree with you.It is a matter of countries respect. If something like this would have happened in India, then UK would have done the same thing. This incident only shown the bad intentions of the opposer. Also they behaved in that manner as the opponent were loosing. Is this correct. What Shilpa did was right.

If this happened in India I would look at the facts myself and not decide that all Indian people are racist toward white working class people. India has a caste system which is based on class, the same as the UK. All that has happened here is a clash of 2 very different classes that are finding it difficult to accept and tolerate each other. This is from both sides. All thats happened is that some are more vocal in their views than others. There are many silent stirrers in that house that have fuelled the situation instead of defusing it. They are the dangerous ones because nobody ever knows their true views. At least Shilpa and Jade are open enough to admit their prejudice class views and that is all it is. It is in no way racist.

I agree with you here, shilpa is sticking around just to make money and earn some publicity while she is out of work. All the people on the show have ended their careers and therefore do not have much to lose in terms of popularity but her stakes are higher.

Shilpa needs to be more sensitive to avoid such nuisances. Earnig money is not her only goal or motto and we audiences must have some commonsense in watching serials.

Yeah she always has the option of backing off though I respect her decision of carrying on since walking out from the show would mean "losing"! Besides, I think that all this is just a ruse to gain the sympathy of the viewers! And if it really is the case then I must say it's pretty canny of her and she's playing the game well. As far as racial discrimination on the show is concerned, I feel that this was not racism in the truest sense of the word. This is candy floss racism, and has been blown out of proportion in the country! India has over reacted on the situation. Today, the lady is said to have said that she doesn't think there was any any racial discrimination from Jade's end which proves that all this was a trick! Let's c what happens ahead in the show.

As someone who has watched the programme during the last week I can say that Shilpa has conducted herself very well and behaved with a lot of dignity and self-restraint. She has actually earned herself a lot of respect I think - more so than if she had walked out. She herself has said she does not think it was racism. However, the real problem was not actually racism but bullying which I think was motivated by jealousy. As a spin-off of that bullying though a couple of the girls responsible did make comments which could be construed as racist and that were certainly inappropriate. A massive number of complaints (more than for any other programme ever) have been made to Ofcom and the main culprit has now been evicted from the BB house - probably to be shortly followed by the other two girls I imagine. It's a shame that the issue of racism is the only thing people have latched onto with this. Bullying is just as bad and should be condemned just as strongly.

may be this is for publicity, but being a true patriot she should stick up to our country and should forget all the money. it is a common misconception in the west, that india is not ddeveloping and all that stuff. we also should not catagorise all britons as racist. india too has it's own lot of racist people.

why should shilpa walk off the show? she is clearly the victim of racist abuse, wait and see the difference in jo and danielles attitude now that jade has been evicted, even last night before the eviction danielle was sucking up to shilpa saying she didnt mean it,she is pathetic and should also be evicted, there is no place for racism in todays society..

I agree with u .. Shilpa should have given back to Jade in a same way I/O crying .. it seemed as if she was so scared of all of them !! Had these Brits come to our country to act ..we wud hv pleased them like anything .. why the Indians r always suffurer!! Shilpa is a celebrity .. she could have easily bang their head .. now even if she'll win .. it won't be that great. She has given an impression of "Bechari Indian". SAD

I totally agree with you ..Indian woman have remain the same as it was before..They think that there most stronger weapon is their tears ..but they need to change this thinking..they need to be emotionally stronger..and as well as mentally tougher..Then they be able to handle such situation without such hype and etc..And also I msut agree that the sponsors of the show "BIG BROTHER" has really been benefitted at the back stage due to the comming up of the show's popularity in the limelight..

Its all strategy. . Just to earn publicity or more viewers.. It was noted.. that after this shilpa shetty incident 45lac more people watched Big Brother. Its a serial where these kinda things do happen. Why are these people even giving this incident a importance!??

I came to know about the eviction of jade. But before dat i saw shilpa & ian a bit flirting around to gather some possesion within her inmates. I think this may be a strategy of shilpa to get her to greater heights of fame, as she is not so popular here in India. As all she isn't getting any film opportunities in bollywood, may this could be the way she could reach her aim of acting in foreign films.
