How do I wipe a NTFS hard drive file system?

            I need to wipe my whole hard drive clean as can be. My whole system is corrupted and I need to start over from scratch.

                    If you have the Windows NT or XP orginal disk this will be easy. Untilities included on them can format and create new NTFS partitions. You can not use a DOS disk to do this. NTFS is not DOS based but you can use third party software like Partition Magic. 
You can issue the following command  at command prompt  from run.
                C:\FORMAT /fs:ntsf
it will wipe the disk

                    The better option is partition magic ....... use it to wipe out ur desired drive. take a fresh copy of OS and install it ..
