I am with phalamingho on this one!! One type is one too many. I am terrified of spiders. Every spring I make my husband spray around and under the house to try to keep them from coming inside. Then he has to do it again about mid-summer. I know they are beneficial to our environment, but they can be beneficial outside. As long as they don't come in my house I will leave them alone.

Spiders are ancient animals with a history going back many millions of years. They have always been with us, an ancient source of fear and fascination There are more than 35,000 known species of spiders, including over 800 tarantula species. and please don't ask me to name them! World's largest spider = goliath or bird-eating tarantula, found in South America (body 90 mm long, leg span 250 mm.) World's smallest spider = an orbweb from Samoa (body 0.43 mm long, about the size of a pinhead.) http://wheel.dcn.davis.ca.us/go/explorit/science/spider.html
