How long do you wait before picking a best response???

I was going through my postings yesterday and I had one from 6 days ago. So I picked the best response. A little while later this girl responds to the post saying "You have already selected the best response...So??I agree with...." and that was it. What was up with that??? I thought waiting 6 days was long enough. Should it not be up to me when I select a best response???? Well I've been on here a month now and that is the only mean/nasty comment I have received. What do you guys think????

I say pick your best response when you want to!! Personally, it doesn't matter to me if a topic already has a best response selected - I will still add my response if I want to regardless. 6 days is plenty of time in my book, but ultimately, it's your discussion, so do what the heck you want with it! :)

I agree with the above statement. Sometimes I pick mine sooner. If I have a discussion and only one person has responded, well I think the person who took the time and effort to help me with that response deserves the best response. Ususally what I have been trying to do lately is go through my unresovled responses and the ones I have made replied to on the weekend when I have more time. But over all I think it is a personal choice.

I try to let me discussions go at least 3 days before I choose the best response. The reason I do that is so that it gives people a chance to answer cause not everybody gets on here everyday.
