How to activate hair growth

My hair stops growing when it reach certain level. Right after the haircut it grows but stops soon. I want to make it grow actively.what is the reason? what should I do.

hair growth depends mainly on genetic factors.in my part where i live there is a special oil taken from an animal which supposedly helps hair to grow faster.i havent tried it though.

Everytime i grow my hair, which is very often. My tip is to put it into bunchies (2 pony tails at the side) and when your in the bath, move up and down - for some reason it must stretch the hair folicle because it never fails me. It does sound strange but its true.
