No problem. Thanks for checking for me! Down here in Texas we get fire ants pretty bad, and last summer they chewed through one of the connections to my air conditioner. It was 108 that day of course! Anyway, we used some chemicals and such to keep them out for the rest of the summer, but if catnip will do it that seems like a much better way.

I will have to tell my daughter this. She has fire ants all over her yard and they come into her home. She has tried everything....expect this.

Wow it sounds a really good idea. I have been troubled by this tiny mighty creatures for a long time, and all my attempts to win over them have been in vain. But can you give more information about this plant, and where and how can we get this. Anyway thanks for the information.

No, I have not heard of that, but thanks for sharing. I heard to put borax in front of the door and windows will keep out ants and bugs though.

No, this is a tip that I hadn't heard of. Very interesting. We get a ton of those little black ants in the summertime.
This is a site that I have used and know some of the tips really work. Last summer I did the black pepper, and they wouldn't cross over it.
