Oh, I absolutely love Anime! The only series I've ever downloaded though was Chobits and that I got from Limewire. All the episodes were pretty good quality too.

Oh and good anime includes Chobits, Rozen Maiden, Smash Hit, Azumanga Daioh, Tokyo MewMew, Cardcaptors (aka Cardcaptor Sakura), Bleach and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but thats my personal tastes.

some websites offer direct downloads. depending on what anime you want to watch. Lime wire is okay, but your computer can get infcted by a virus a lot easier. probably the easiest way is P2P..peer 2 peer file shareing other wise known as bittorrent. this process may take longer depending on the anime downloading. also, i HAVE to mention this. most animes are available on DVD's now. It is more legal to buy them from either anime stores on oneline. most Japan versions of the anime have english subtitles. My husband bought a bunch in Initial D ones that weren't available in the US yet and they all had an english subtitle feature.

do you have any particular series in mind? id recommend Ouran Host Club~ if you like comedy and reverse-harems :) you download it through torrent at http://a.scarywater.net/lunar/
You can generally find subbed animes through different torrent searches like mininova, a.scarywater.net and www.torrentz.com. hope that helps! ^^

I also LOVE anime! You can sign up free on chrunchyroll.com and they have a lot of anime you can watch for free. One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE is Bleach. If you don't watch it, then you are missing out on a lot!, and i mean it.

Can say I am a big anime fan, maybee because I havent had much exposeure to it. I am sure it is as good as you claim.
As far as where to download it, have you tried a peer to peer program such as limewire or mozilla. I use limewire myself and I can usually find what I am looking for.
