Has anyone ever trained their cat? / myLot

My hubby and I trained our cat to only go to his food dish if he is pat on his back. Now the cat will not eat until we pat him.We did this cause he used to jump or run to the bowl and stick his head in while we were putting the food in. Now we are tring this with the dog. Have you trained your cat to do anything? A trick?

We're trained our one cat to sit down and stand up on his back legs for treats. Mu husband also owned a cat before and he was able to teach him how to play fetch.

Our cat came with a training manual. Unfortunately, it was the "How To Train Your Human To Wait on You Hand and Foot" manual. He excelled at his lessons and eagerly taught his skills to the 3 cats that chose to live in our home after he arrived.
