Do you ever get tired of waiting? What are you waiting for right now?

It seems as if I am always waiting for something even when I am busy! I find I am waiting for the washer to get done or the dryer to finally be done so I get be done with laundry already! I find I am waiting for a friend to respond to me. I find I am waiting for that time of night when I know all will be calm in the house. I find I am waiting for the dog finally be fully trained and I will not be worried with everything he does. I find I am waiting for a response to an email or waiting for a new discussion to come up on myLot. I go to the grocery store and I am waiting for my turn to get into that aisle where I need something from and then I have to go wait in line to pay. I am waiting for the snow to start...and then I am waiting for it to stop so I can go outside and play in it with my kids! I am waiting...bracing myself for the next bump in the road to hit in life...but I am also waiting for the next smile to come along! I find that I am always waiting for something! I have a lot of patience but sometimes I feel my patience waning too. Are you patient? Or are you sick of waiting? What are you waiting for?

What a good question for me today. I am having the day from hell. Right now I am waiting for my boyfriend to come home from the hospital. He is up there because his dad is sick and had some tests done today. He needs to go pick up my daughter-in-law who got a flat tire and she is patiently waiting for him as she has no other ride or anyone to help her. I am also waiting for the clothes to get done washing so I can dry them and finally get some heat in this house. I ran out of propane today and I probably won't be able to get any until Monday at the earliest. It looks like I will be washing everything in the house just to stay warm. On top of everything else, I am waiting for this miserable cold I have to run its course. I'm usually a patient person also but today is really pushing it. Aren't you sorry you asked?lol.

Hey! I am not sorry I asked. Trust me, I am there with ya on waiting today! LOL I am just glad that I am not the only one having one of those days! Hope you get well soon and you get heat soon too. Do you have candles? I have those litte tea light candles I put all over the place. They can put off some heat to help too. :)

I have no patience. I hate to wait and yes, ofcourse I am tired of waiting. But can't do anything life always make us to wait for every big and small thing. If sometime you have to wait to get done the laundry or dishes, sometime you have to wait to get a new can because of financial problem. No matter what is the thing you have to get, you have to wait for that. Even sometime I have to wait to sleep come to my eyes. I just hate that.

Like every one else in the USA I am waiting for all of our tax forms to come in so we can get our tax return done so that we can get my husband a new car since the engine went in his. So that we can pay off our land lord since we a re behind on our rent. So that we can get cable TV for our kids and cable internet for me so I can post more and faster on mylot and not tie up my phone line like I am right now. So that we can actually get a decent amount of groceries in our fridge, freezer and cabinets instead of scrimping and bearly being able to buy the bear necessities. Well you get the basic idea.

I know what you are talking about. My partner is waiting for W2s also. He is already thinking about what he wants to spend his refund on. I know that....ok, correction, I hope that he takes into consideration that the children need new jeans and such. But he has been talking about wanting to fix up the house and painting it. I don't know if he is meaning inside AND outside. But...I don't really listen too much to what he is dreaming of spending money on...because he failed to mention the kids and other things that are needed more.

And now you are waiting for responses to this discussion! I find that as I get older, I have much more patience. I was always one who wanted things done "yesterday" but now, although I prefer to be busy all the time (and I am) I find I have lots of patience. It doesn't bother me to wait in line at the check-outs. It gives me a chance to talk to the next person in line and maybe brighten her day. It gives me a chance to think, and maybe to prepare the outline of a message in my head. I wait for the postman to arrive, but I am content to wait, knowing that he will come sooner or later, and may or may not have something I want. I wait for the traffic lights without getting impatient. My wanting them to change won't make it happen any faster. I use the time, as when driving, to think about good things, and maybe an outline for a lesson I'm writing. I find I can usually use all the waiting time in my life, so why get impatient? It won't help anything. There is, however, one thing I AM waiting for - waiting with expectation and joy, but not impatiently. I am waiting for the return of my Saviour and Lord. He has said He is coming back in the clouds, so I am a cloud watcher. I look and wait for His return with great joy.

Too true, too true. Basically what we as humans do is spend our lives waiting *laugh* And have you heard some of the statistics about how long we spend sitting at traffic lights and such things, on average? I can't find the stats online right now, but I did find this piece of info: "According to efficiency experts, the average computer user spends 9 minutes every day waiting for files and web screens to download." I mean, I know that that isn't that much, but just think about how much that will add up to within a year, or ten years! *laugh* I am currently waiting on a lot of things on your list. Emails. People to respond to discussions of mine on Mylot, lol. Waiting for suppertime. Waiting. We're all always waiting, aren't we? *laugh*

Hmmmm, a good question, where to start. I think I'm normaly a patient person, but I've now been waiting 12 years for Miss Right to come into my life so I can settle down again and stop being lonely again. Everyday things don't bother me, I have lots of patience and never really have time to think about waiting for something, when I do stop for a moment in places like the suprtmarket checkout, it's usually a welcome little break to think a bit and reflect a little. Perhaps age has given me a little patience over the years, but in saying that, I still get impatient about the fact that I haven't got another Miss Right yet. Perhaps one day soon, who knows what the future holds.?

Well then, I hope for you that your patience will pay off and bring you Miss Right. :) I know that can be one of the most drawn out waiting games. And I agree...age does bring patience. :)

I am waiting for my ship to come in. It is all about patience. I have developed patience. Patience takes practice. The best way to achieve patience is to think about something else, walk away before you say something you don't mean or want to say or to step aside and breathe deeply. What really bugs me is RUDE people, I have no patience with them.

I find that I have a tendency to be impatient. I am trying very hard to be more patient. What am I waiting for at this moment? (1)WINTER!!! Seems we have had nothing but mild weather! (2)To get to 500 rating on MyLot!! (3)For my boss to realize and appreciate what a great employee I am! (4) My body to cooperate and suddenly dismiss 25 pounds! (5) My husband to come home from work (6) My children to come home from school (7) My children to clean their rooms! (8) My ship to come in!! Ha!!

Lawrence Ferlinghetti wrote a beautiful poem- I will quote the refrain of it here- I am waiting for a rebirth of wonder. I will try to find the entire poem which is one of my most favorites but of course I never memorized it. when I find it I will post it here among the responses. And while I keep you waiting for it- just remember- I am waiting for a rebirth of wonder.

I am waiting for a lot of things financially to happen for me. Good that is. I also feel there is always something after. You wait and wait, then when you get it, there's something else you're waiting for so you don't really enjoy getting what you were waiting for. I guess that't what makes life not so boring.
