There's a lot to discuss. Frank Thomas? Losing out on Ted and Gil? John Thompson?

No responses yet? Perhaps your post just didn't get noticed. And unfortunately I can't give an intelligent answer to your question. I moved to Florida 7 years ago and I just can't seem to stay up with what's going on in baseball. I do intend, hopefully, some day, to get to Dunedin for spring training. I can't believe all the years I wanted to go to spring training and now I live just hours away from the place and still haven't managed to get there. On the optomistic side though - the Jays are going to great this year. They represent one of the greatest cities ever and will give it their best effort.

I have followed the Jays since day one (do you remember the blow Jays?). Their first world series win is something I will never forget, or the second for that matter. If the starting pitching can stay healthy and the bull pen does us well we have a fighting chance. The bats are probably the best in MLB, its just so damn tough in this division everything has to fall in to place at the right time.

Yeah this isn't a nice division to have to play in. Yanks and Sox up to the ears. Hopefully though Halladay doesn't get himself hit this year.

Go-Blue Jays-Go!! I hear ya man, sorry about the lack of responses to your post. But there are Blue Jay watchers on MyLot as few as they are. I grew up watching the Jays play ball. Unfortunately I've taken a break in the past few years from the game but started watching them last year. This time I have a connection for tickets and I found company to go with all season. I'm looking forward to see Frank Thomas play. I love power hitters. Going back to the days of Fred McGriff and John Olerude (sorry if not spelled properly). Honestly I don't know the rest of the current team, but I'm looking forward to see them at the (always will be)... "Sky Dome". Toronto #1 Go-Jays-Go!

Not many fans I know but thanks for the reply. I'm envious about your connection with tickets, I'm hoping to get to at least 3-4 games this year! Go Jays Go

The Jays hitting is a lot better this year (Thomas is definitely an offensive super-upgrade on Hillenbrand in the power category, but their starting rotation is leaving a lot to be desired at the moment. If two of the young guys can rise to the occasion and toss up .500 numbers in the four and five hole then we might have a contender, but otherwise it's just going to be another long season.
