As i was just changing my daughters diaper i thought i wonder if anyone knows, what do they use in third world countries for diapers, pads and tampons, and if they use cloth.. the countries with no clean water.. where do they wash these things ? my heart totally goes out to these people who have nothing. i try not to take anything i have for granted because of those people.

Hmm..I never really thought of that before, and now I feel bad for not realizing that I have it so good. I know that it could be worse, but I tend to have a pessimistic outlook because nothing ever turns out right, but maybe that is why. But back to the subject, I have heard of the drums to collect rain water for washing and cooking as stated in the above post.

I think it's awesome that you appreciate what you have and make sure you don't waste the resources we're lucky to have. I know that most 3rd world countries do sell diapers, pads, tampons, altho they get expensive, so most people use cloth diapers, cos it gets used up so fast. They also try to save money on water by putting large drums outside so rainwater collects there and they can use this for their cooking and washing. People in the rural villages walk with their laundry down to the river and wash them there.

Ok.. but i'm talking about those places you see on tv like small villages in Africa and such that all the children are starving and have no medical supplies, you think they'd buy diapers rather then feed the children ?

Agreed. I believe that they would feed their children first. Tell me sissy, why is it that people never read the whole discussion and think that one line will get them paid, and why don't others do research before making scenes over friggin bullsh*t? Not mentioning anyone on here of course..no, no one ever does that to TOYS R US! lol. But yeah, let's not be stupid here, food comes first then diapers, then feminine products. Hey, maybe the diapers and the feminine products are all just cloth...just a possibility.
