Which of these govern our lives? DESTINY or OUR CHOICES

This question often sets me thinking. Through the years, my life has been a multi-colored portrayal of my personal idealism, my metamorphosis. The frontline has been a mixture of triumph and failures, tears and laughter, pain and joy. Having reached my seasoned years, I have learned that life is like any other possessions. It derives its value from use. But then until now, some of my plans have been upset which brought me to this nagging question. Why do I always fail on my chosen endeavor? Was it my choices and decisions or my fate? Perhaps, I never been that persistent to exercise my prudence and skill or rouse my faculties. As a Christian,I would simply shrugged things off and accept that maybe, yes, maybe - God has other or even greater plans than mine. Maybe its my destiny. Are my palns doomed from the start because it was not destined for me? Was it really? But aren't we the master of our fate? Given the free will to make the best choices, we aren't supposed to fail or even fall short of where we expect our lives will be. Was it my fate or my choices?

It can be both. To look back at your mistakes takes great strength. Even if your choices caused you to lose out on your dreams, be proud that you learned from it. If it is our destiny , then it will be. But in time, on his time and his way. I have fallen short of my own expectations. But I keep trying. Thats all I can DO.
