I work in a nursing home now. I have taken the CNA, CMA, and Rehab Aide classes. It can be busy, difficult, streesful, and yet, at the same time, very rewarding. Some of the things you do can be hard to handle. I would not trade any of the experiences I have had for anything. I enjoy it very much.

The work is very busy. But the reward of resident appreciation is like the biggest tip you will recieve in your whole life! They come to love you, and wait for when you will be coming in for your next shift!

I used to do that. It's not hard work at all!

It is enjoyable work and can be HARD work. I have did this type of work for 12 years only to have it ended when I was injured turning a resident over in bed with the help of a nurse. I had to have an excision of the distal clavicle. (End of the collar bone cut off) I was told I probably wouldn't ever be able to return to my job again. And I had already started on college for my LPN/RN dimploma/degree. SO sad to say, I need to find another job that doesn't require much at all. So be VERY careful, if you are injured report it at once and don't take their advice when they say ok, you had a witness no need to fill out forms. You must fill them out or you will be the one to get burnt in the end!
