Many people nowadays don't install land lines, either use their mobile phones, or some also just use internet. What do you people think about this issue? and what do you people use? I have a land line, but rarely use it. i use my mobile more often.

I got rid of my landline phone many months ago as I only use my cell phone and my internet for communication. I have no need for two phones since I am single and I do not talk on the phone that much so I like my cell phone better. I think this may be the case for many single people as well. I am not surprised that the number of people with landlines has dropped.

Actually I have a house phone, but it's not a landline..I have At&t Callvantage service (VOIP) which is linked to my pc. Instead of getting or receiving calls from a landline, I have a adapter that is connected to my pc...It's way cheaper than the landline and includes all the features...I pay under 33.00 a month. I have a cell phone, however, I have a son here who come home from school, I need the phone so he and I can call eachother and I'm not ready to buy him a cell phone yet.. I love VOIP, I've had it over a year now...

I do have a cell phone and so does my husband. But we have terrible reception here. We can barely use our phones in the house. So we have Vonage. I guess it's basically a land line, only it's through an internet connection. We have it because it's a lot cheaper than a traditional land line. We live 1000 miles from home so we make a lot of long distance calls. This way they are free, and we don't have to watch the clock. We can stay on as long as we want to.

I do have a land line and a cell. If I had to choose, I would give up the land line and keep the cell.
