How does men deals with infidelity?

Time and again we often hear that famous ( or infamous ) saying of men being polygamous in nature. Apparently,( as experts have explained ) its more of a biological need on their part and/or psychological set-up. Well, I know women might react negatively on the issue and I don't want to give my bias opinion here as well. We have heard so much of infidelity cases among men of course. And society seems to have accepted that notion. But flipping the other coin, how does men deals with their partner's infidelity? Do they cope with it easily than women? How long does it normally takes for them to accept things and move on? Is the pain of betrayal and deceit more intense than that of women?
