Great Wall of China, seen from Outer Space!?

Okay I've always wondered why all my History teachers have taught me that you can see the Great Wall of China from outer space and its the only man made object visable from space, but yet the Empire State Building, Effiel Tower, and Egyptian pyramids (just to name a few) are all taller and larger momuments than the what, 100foot wall? How is it none of that is seen from space?

cos...from space...can see a long line...while others...cannot even find it unless you can pin point that dot.

its because at someplaces along the wall, it is thedivision between two climactic zones, there is often agriculture on one side and desert on the other.
