My sister in-law (love her to death) has 2 boys by marriage and one girl she had and one on the way. Well over the weekend her girl (8) came down with a stomach bug that lasted until monday, then one of the boy (9) came down with it, but at school. Now the child had complained to the teacher(s) plural that he was feeling very bad (sick to the stomache, head ach, chills and realy dizzy) and he asked to see the nurse numerous times. Guess what they said? NO. Every time he asked, they even had it written down that he had asked and wanted to speak to his parents about him trying to get out of class (this child never wants to MISS school and gets A all around). So he comes home, comes up to my sister inlaw and says "mom, do I feel hot to you, I realy don't feel good." She took his tem and it was 102.3. Thats high for a child of his age, and he had to deal with it all day long at school. She freaked out and called the school, and of course they were not answering, so she called the "emgency number" to his homeroom teacher. She said, yes he complained, but she figured he was just trying to get out of school. Sister in law asks, "why did you not let him see the nurse". Teacher said; "if I did that I would not have ANY children in my class, they are all wanting to see the nurse lately" I wonder why with the horrible stomach virus going around, and the schools just spreading it because they are control freaks. Needless to say, she kept him home until he got better, and will be meeting with the principal about this. This type of thing has happend before to her and the kids and she is soooo fed up, but what can she do? They have to go to school. Tell me what you think, and if you have any experiecen in this.

Gee that is bad, its strange how teacher seem to get a power thing going, to be honest I used to say I was sick a bit at school but I was not good at school and I really did get sick with the worry of it all, well I hope you get it all sorted out...they need to pull their socks up.
