Should Sanjay Dutt be punished?

I want to know one thing that if anyone does crime but after that the person want to correct his errors then we shoud not give him atleast a single chance to be a good person? I m agry that Mr.Sanjay dutt was arrested in the offence of arms act but we should take one thing in the count that now a days he is no more involved in that and one important thing he has given us is that again he make Gandhi live among us. Today if Gandhism in india is on the boom then nodoubt Sanjay dutt is also responsible for that and he should get reward for that. It is my personal view and thinking but i want to know where it is wrong?
