is it only me, ? i have started feeling slightly uneasy answering

i don't think you should feel that way at all! as far as i'm concerned, i really don't put much stock in those stars...i honestly don't pay any attention, and i don't think anyone else should either...i think as long as the discussion is something that you're interested in, have your say!

When the star rating begins at mylot i was with 5.Now i see it is 9.I'm happy for this but don't mean that i wiil have problem if go down again.So don't even think about this and keep going the good work.

i don't mind if others have a 10. for as long as i know that i also post quality discussions and responses, i won't feel bad about myself just getting a 9.i am happy about my performance here in mylot. and you should, too. don't worry about the stars, you'll get it higher in due time. and oh, just a reminder (hope you won't feel bad about this), don't type your discussions in all capital letters. it's against the rules of mylot.

I hope it is you lol No ..You just give em what for!!! Remember the numbers system is the result of some mysterious algorythm that some mylot bod has decided suits them. It is of no real concern to us. Is it? Or am I the naieve one? When they give you stars and numbers, it affects how you act, they know that. I don't want to play.

Aw, please do not feel this way! ^_^ Star ratings aren't everything *laugh* Do you know, there are probably a lot of people around the site who would feel intimidated to one degree or another by the fact that you have over 4000 points by your name? That to me speaks even more highly of how valuable you are around the site, the fact that you have posted so much! I would not worry about posting anywhere that you wish! ^_^ And even if you only had one point to your name, there is no need to worry! You have just as valid of an opinion as anyone else does!! ^_^ ^_^

Why would you feel that way? Just because someone has a higher rating doesn't mean that they are any more intelligent than you are. It simply means that others have given them positive ratings for their posts. If you participate in controversial posts, you may get some negative ratings that will lower your score. That's just the way it is. Maybe the people with higher ratings have never disagreed with anyone?

It does seem like a contest to me. I think it could create a competition! :( My rating did go down from about a week ago, but that is because I haven't been as active in the last few weeks. But I am back on today and I hope to make some good money! :) I have too many things I want to buy! hehehe. :)

No I don't there are a few of my Friends with 10 but it does not bother me I know what I am capable of and I will reply to Discussions with the best that I can give So don't feel that way keep going like you did before

Please ESKARENA do not take any notice of a star, I am still not sure how this star thing works, I would as always welcome any input that you put in my discussions, I value your point of view and I am sure that many other people do as well. To me you are a friend, regardless of what a silly star by your name says. :)

No you shouldn't feel uneasy at all. It just means they have found more to respond to . Just keep posting and replying with quality and you will do just fine

You have a 9 rating, you can only go 1 higher, the ratings are nothing to do with the amount of knowledge you have or even your educational qualifications. You just have to p**s off one person who could go round all your discussions AND your responses and mark them all as '-' to lower your ratings. At the moment you have 4479 discussions or responses credited, to me that means you must know quite a lot about what you have put onto MyLot. Forget the ratings system anyway, it is just one way that Mylot is trying to weed out spammers & cheaters. I say someone complaining because he only had a 1 star rating, which looks as though it was because he upset several people. Ask yourself, do you look down on people who have lower ratings than you do? I seldom look at the ratings when I reply to anyone, and I certainly don't think a 10 gives makes them any better than me.

Do you mean that when other members respond to your discussions, but have lower rating than you have, you won't consider their responses valid? Expressions may be different and use of English sometimes might not be as good as others like you, with English as their native tough, But the ideas shared matters. Do we validate ideas, or opinion? There are some members here who does not visit or refer friends as often as others, so that affects the rating also. It does not really mean that when you have high rating that your ideas and opinion are better than those with lower star ratings. I would like to get the top rate though, so I strive to post good discussions and post. It also pays better. Relax, enjoy your ratings, They do fluctuate, you know.

Don't worry about how many stars anyone else has, just keep posting and writing and adding your own quality remarks. I think you're doing great! Don't ever think that your knowledge isn't as valid, it takes everyone's own unique thoughts to make up a good community!

I call my knowledge "personal knowledge". Everybody has different "personal knowledge". That's why this discussion board is so good. It shares everyone's opinions. No one right answer. I'm trying to get my star! I'm curious as to my number, but I'm having so much fun, I don't really feel stressed over it.

i guess you must not feel that way. as i've said im only new here i still dont have that so called star rating but im fine. dont be intimated by these ratings or else the quality of your comments/response won't show the real you. just take it easy and of course have fun. take care!
