I have a stronge feeling on this. Why do people have to control there loved ones. Why are we afraid to stand up for these people that think they have the right to control us.Do you think they would like it if the shoe was on the other foot?

Frankly speaking I am also that type of person who sometimes control my loved ones. I can remember controlling my boyfriends behavior and making it conducieved in the eyes of my relatives. I can remember controlling my friends on where we going. I know its wrong but I can't help it.Its normally comes out that sometimes you never realized you already done it. I guess I them for reasons, I don't want them to be made as laughing stock by people around me, or I don't like my friends to hang out in such places wherein I know we can never enjoyed. I only do it because I wanted everyone to feel ok and I wanted my boyfriend to be accepted by my family and relatives.I also think that if my boyfriend will be ridiculed for some behavior I would be the first one to be hurt. And with my friends I just wanted what's best for them.

thats ok at times but there are people out there who are very controlling and it gets to a point where they control to hurt the other person. you where not that badand if your friends did not say to you to stop and they are still friends, then it did not bother then. you still with that guy you controlled? if yes, he might loe you for some keeping him in place. if not, then you know why.

I consider myself very lucky. Neither myself or my husband is controlling. I found my sister in her relationships was very very controlling and they never worked out for her. She has found herself someone that she respect and the control issue stopped and they are planning on getting married in the near future and welcomed a little girl into their lives just before Christmas. Controlling in a relationship isnt good for anyone.
