Does anyone else have a problem with My Lot timing out on them when responding?

I tend to get a little wordy at times since I type so fast (a 26 year job hazard, lol) and I find that sometimes My Lot times out on me during one of my lengthy responses. This is a bit frustrating and time consuming, and I was wondering if there's anyway to stop that? Just re-login to be sure I don't get a time out? What's the time limit anyway? How long? Thanks for your help!!! P.S. I LOVE my lot! It's a great way to talk about what's on my mind....lol

Let me start off by saying, Welcome to myLot!!! :) I started 3 months ago here and I am completely addicted. It combines the reading and writing into one....and those are two of the things that I have to do, well, among other things. But I find that I can spend hours here and I keep coming back everyday for me. ha ha OK, as for your problem...honestly, I have never had a problem with it timing out. When you sign in, do you check the box that tells the computer to remember you? I have checked that box so that every time I open a new tab, I will always be signed in. If you are working from a public computer, you can logout when you are done. But maybe if you check this option for the computer to remember you, you will not have a problem with the timing out. If I am not understanding clearly, please feel free to respond. As I do try to come back to see if there are any comments left on a response I left. But if this helps, I am glad I was able to help you. :) Again, welcome to myLot! :)

I have had some time out problems, but since I have asked the computer/site to remember me this has not occured. I do not think I've typed something as long as you, so I do not know if there is a time out limit or not.

My problem was also fixed by having the computer remember me. I do get a little wordy, don't I? :-) Thanks for your reply!! :-)

Yes. I have had this problem. I try to remember to ctrl a, ctrl c before I hit post response so if I lose it, I can ctrl v to paste it. Oh wait, that may not work. I tried to do that once and I was told I didn't have permission to paste. I "think" that pasting is allowed after you have so many posts. I wonder how many posts that is. I wonder how many posts that is. Okay, it must be less than 86 as I just pasted that duplicate line. Anyway, that's my suggestion, especially if you've written a long response. Do you know how fast you type? I started typing when I was 6 and I haven't stopped since. My last true test was 106 wpm.

From what I've read here, you can't cut and paste until you're at 500 posts. I think that's a great idea to insure quality posts. Last time I was tested, I was at 110 wpm, but that was years ago. :-)
