i think it's better to own a cat. i love my 2 cats. they don't bark or anything like that. they are sweet and loyal.

Depends on the level of commitment you're looking for. Cats are way more independent and don't require as much fuss.

It depends on your life style. Dogs need more time for walks and such. Cats tend to keep for themselves and just demand food and the occasional cuddle!

I would have to agree with you here. Dogs need companionship just like what you are seeking from your pet. They require alot more time. Cats on the other are a great pet and companion to come home to after a hard days work and just get tho oh I love you so much cuddles:) If you have the time to spend training a puppy and daily walks and outside visits to the potty then great. But if you have less time to devote then I would suggest a cat. Very low maintence:)

A cat can be trained to a litter box and they really don't have an odor to their bodies like a dog does but they can also shed alot. But if you live somewhere you can put a doggie door in the dog could go out when he needs to use the bathroom but dogs need a bath often to keep from smelling and most dogs also shed. Personally i would say a short haired cat.

Yes, I got my cat when he was a little kitten and didn't need to even train him. I showed him where his box was and that was that. He does shed A LOT though.

Definitely a cat! You don't have to walk it, for one thing. And for another, a cat can take care of itself, provided that it is given food, water and a place to pee and poo.

I like dogs, but prefer to have cats. With working all day and leaving them alone so long cats just do better than dogs. I don't like to have just one cat, you need someone for them to play with. I have 3 young females and they play all the time. They are also easier to take care of. With the indoor litter box there is no walking or taking them out. You can even leave for a couple of days and leave them food and they are just fine. So I would say cats are definitely my favorite.

My opinion is a cat for inside the house. The reason, cats VERY EASILY learn to use a litter box. It is a natural instinct to them. Dogs have to be house broken, and even then they will use the carpet if they so desire. Of course this is my opinion, and everyone is different.
