Would you fight back when being mugged?

Imagine yourself, coming back home late at night on the train with the carriage empty. Three shady guys get on. After a while they walk up to you and ask for your money. You refuse and they become more violent. You have no idea if they are carrying weapons or not and you have $200 (£100) in your Versace wallet. if they keep looking they will find your iPod nano and PSP. Would you resist and take the risk of being faced with a lethal weapon, or would you give the money and hope they don't find your iPod and PSP.

1st off I'm not rich enough to have those items or that much money on me. 2nd they've just given me the excuse to beat the snot outa somebody I've been looking for. 3rd that lethal weapon will end up hurting them a lot more than me. Wouldn't be the first time I've been through something like this. I'm a former bouncer, bodygaurd, martial arts instructor and pizza delivery guy. Sad part is the pizza delivery was the most dangerous.

lol, pizza delivery? how was that dangerous, but seeing that you were a bouncer and an instructor, you would probably be able to handle it ^_^

I believe it was Bruce Lee who said that you should always put your life on the line. I also personally believe in never allowing yourself to be pushed around, i.e. giving away your money and possessions so you don't get beat up or killed. I'd rather die setting an example for others to not give up or succumb than allowing some low-life muggers to have another chance to cut another's purse or threaten another person. Just think about it, what if you let those guys go and they go on and rape or mug ot steal from someone you know? Every action has a consequence, and I personally would rather be the end than just another link in the fence of hurt that these people could cause others.

I would tell them to go away or I would hurt them bad. It doesn't matter that they have a weapon, we are taught in Krav Maga to deal with any weapon.

I would rather run than give them my money!. If theyre lucky enough to catch me then i'll throw away my money and other electronic device leaving it useless I would rather break them than to be claimed by others.

I would give them whatever possessions they wanted. If it will save my life, I will gladly give up all material possessions. It's not worth fighting for.

I would fight back. The average mugger on the street may pull a lethal weapon but its more of to pose a threat than actually be one simply because they don't want to spend time in jail due to your murder convictions, that and I've been trained, not in martial arts but in a lethal fighting style what to do in that situation.

if you have a versace wallet £100 a nano and a psp you can't be poor, hand it over. its only stuff after all, then again if it was one guy i'd just have a go at battering him with the psp, at worst it would attract the conductors/drivers attention if he smashes my head through a window.
