begging for money

Do you think it is right for people to beg for money online?Would you give to people who beg for money online?

To many people beg from me offline for me to even consider giving money to someone online. What kind of begging do you mean - people asking to borrow $10.00 or somthings or organizations asking to donate money? I would donate to an organization that I was down with on the web (If I knew they would spend it right)

I was watching 20/20 and some lady was in debt from shopping and buying purses and shoes and belts and she made 13,334 dollars from a website she set up to ask for help to get her out of debt .plus now she has a book out and getting a deal from the movie makers too !!!

wow!!! I would not give someone money for that on the Internet. But it sounds like a very good hustle! I bet she was not broke in the first place!

I think it's sad to see that people resort to this. I would never donate money to someone who is begging online. I don't know the reasons or circumstances that are behind their requests, but it seems that if they have access to a computer and an Internet connection then they cannot be all that destitute.

I agree. If they access to those things, they are definately not homeless. I would never give money to beggers online. That is not safe.

I saw that same 20/20. I could not believe that not only did this woman openly beg for money because she was completly irresponsible by using credit cards for things she did not need, then she went on line and begged complete strangers to pay for her mistake. Then she sat on TV with a smile on her face and said she didn't see anything wrong with it. I wonder if her mom was hiding in a corner that night. I can see people who have been hurt or got sick and lost everything asking for a little help, but I would never in a million years help some snot nose who just over spent.
