should cohabitating be a crime?

I live in Michigan and I just learned that there is a anti-cohabitating law that makes it a crime for a man and woman to live together and not be married. should living together be considered a creime?

You must be kidding? Is this law from 300 yearsago or something, because I'm sure if it si upheld, there won'tbe any room in the prisons for real criminals.
