So whats better harry potter or lord of the rings?

I personally like harry potter and i have read all the books several times because i like the story and the author is a good writer. What do you think?

For me Lord the rings is better from Harry potter, caused i never read harry poter book and never see harry poter movie, and for the lord the ring is best colossal movie for me.

harry potter is more funny,but i think that lord of rings is a lot better for story and computer graphics.

I don't think you can actually compare the two. Although they were both written for children (lotr was written by a reverend for the boys he taught at grammar school), Harry Potter is more a piece of fiction than lotr which is about christianity though this isnt apparent until you delve deep and look into the novels in more detail.
