A partnership is better, because you share the losses. You also have an extra brain and pair of hands. But you also need to split the profits, which in a business you might not see until three years after startup.

hi,My vote is ,don't have partners in a small size companies.I am the example,i loss almost 15000 dollars in a agrochemical industry started by us,of 5 partners. But in the case of large size companies, more share holders reduce risk and scope for expansion.

I did a business course once and I was told some horrific stories of what had happened in some partnerships, when it comes to money no-one can be trusted 100% and in a partnership you can be partly responsible for the other persons actions, better off alone and then you are the boss of your own business and responsible for it....no-one else can drag you under.

I think a partnership is better as long as both partners give equally. My sister works for a company where one partner does all the work and takes care of everything but the other just complains about not getting paid enough and half the time doens't show up for work. I mean if I was going to go into a partnership I would make sure that the other person had skills that I didn't and that they had a good work ethic. Basically I would make sure that putting the two of us together would make a whole.

well if you want to be the boss of your own it is better to be alone, but if you want t grow more you might need a partner who can invest instead of you and accordingly make higher profits. But, don forget that bigger you get, your responsibilities gets bigger too. No mistakes in business is allowed, so be cautious whether you are alone or with yur partner... thanks
