Emotions are just about the most important thing in life, because the human animal gravitates toward things that make them feel good. We learn as children by trying to please our parents so they will love us and that makes us happy. We stay away from bad or dangerous situations because we feel scared or uncomfortable with them. We perpetuate our species because we feel love for another and express it in a physical way and reproduce. We fight against injustice and oppression only because it makes us mad or gives us another, equally unpleasant emotion. Without emotion, it is likely that nothing would ever doen peace. helps give you direction is life without emotions the world would be a boring place Emotions are necessary in forming bonds with other humans. Those bonds are necessary for our physical and mental health. yea emotions are a major part of life, they make us who we are really help u understand people... understand urself..... make long term relationships and allow u being a human being happy mylot day.

Kavita very well said, just to add a few things, what u r saying abt emotions..u have rightly said that emotions are part of the game. It is very important to know that emotions can not be controlled. secondly...when we say emotions we always look at them as good emotions & bad emotions. But there is no such good n bad emotions, emotions are emotions........they dont have a label of being good or bad. emotions are the result of the thought that originates within us..so a same situation creates different emotiosn for different people depending the thought which generated the emotion. so wat I am saying is that thought comes first & then come emotions. where as we always think the other way... all thoughts are knowledge based....knowledge is information based. one acquires knowledge based on the information collected or received. So depending on the information whether it is true or malified...u have a knowledge about something..based on that have a thought & based on that....have a emotion. Emotions are all pure & representation of our thought process. So wat we can actaully have control over is the thought.....which can be rightly controlled by the true knowledge.

These people can't hide their emotions! - Gurning in Cumbria,UK. Now considered to be an art form.
Nope I cannot control my emotions whatsoever. If i'm sad, then there's not a lot I can do about it other than to listen to some really cool music or watch a favourite video/dvd. Hubby always says my face is like an open book. People can tell what i'm feeling and what sort of mood i'm in just by looking at me. Sort of spooky! lol

One must control emotions irrespective of the magnitude. Otherwise, it will be difficult to survive. I too can control the emotions. But it will be there for a moment.

at times i can't as i feel very insecure. while watching rang de basanti i cried to ma heart's content, wen u stand for a cause u give ur everything to it which is wat makes u emotional in those cases

I think I am able to control my emotions to a degree. I know that when I am truly really upset sometimes it's difficult to just hold the tears within & so forth.. I honestly do believe that.. Controlling one's emotions takes practice, as well as time though. I think one just recognizing that they need to control the emotions or feelings they may be experiencing.. Is a big step in it self. What I try to do when I become upset about or over something is.. Afterwards I will try to ask myself questions such as.. Why am I hurting right now?! Or is this something that I can get over or live through?! I find by asking myself these questions that my emotions don't get so pent up then. It's almost like I'm talking myself through it afterwards.. I as well find writing down my emotions on paper helps me to control my emotions as well. Sometime's it's best to analyze yourself & try to figure out why it is that you get ticked off. So that the next time someone hurts you or makes you angry you have more control over them the next time around. It's almost like one has to train themselves to do this.. And it then it will become a habit.. Then as time goes by each time you get angry the reasons why you are getting mad will go through your mind.. And will help you to control your emotions during a specific situation. All one can do to be able to control there emotions is.. Practice, practice, practice. As by doing this one will begin to realize afterwards.. That the only one who has control over there emotions, is themselves. That they do not manage you, but instead you manage them! I think we all have a problem being able to control our emotions at one point or another.. Sometimes it's easier said then done to be able to control them.. But it's a.. Work in progress for all of us out there in this world as each day passes us by! . .

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. When ever the hurtings cross my blood I cant control my emotions or else I am a strong guy.

Anger and disappointment, yes I can for a long time. Sadness, to some extent, that is until I am alone, then I start crying like a madwoman.

emotions are the part n parcel of the game. One cant live with out emotions. So try to control them as much as possible
