I've been around in societies that embraced its culture. And i've been one of them for quite sometime. I've heared a lot of negatives and positives about a fraternity/sorority. but those who create a fraternity/sorority/society really don't quite get or understand what they are into. They sometimes let neophytes chose for a difficult task or an easy one. The easy one is all about abuse and if you take the difficult one you'll end up beaten. I don't quite get their purpose. They should have tried to pursuade neophytes in some other way. What's your opinion about this?

i do belong to a fraternity. by doing some research and readings regarding frats and soros, i could conclude that it's purpose is personal development (but of course, it depends as to what group you belong to). sad to say most members now don't really understand the real essence of frats and soros and it ends up being a gang
